About us
Gauteng Age in Action (GAIA)
GAIA is a provincial developmental organisation dedicated to protecting the rights and dignity of older persons.With over 65 years of service, we have become a trusted partner in elder care, offering advocacy, community-based support, and innovative programmes.

Our Programmes
We run four core programmes that directly impact the lives of elders.
Social Work Services
Counselling, home visits, and advocacy.
Investigating abuse and ensuring protection.
Auxiliary Luncheon Club
Nutritious meals, exercise, and companionship. Recreational and educational activities for elders.
Careline Services
24/7 reporting of abuse, neglect, and emergencies. Referrals to DSD, SAPS, Department of Health, and SASSA.
Adopt A Gogo and Mkhulu
55 adopters making three weekly visits. Emotional, social, and practical support for elders.
